The Great Bikers Ride Around Cyprus
Dear Bikers and Biker Clubs of Cyprus,
I am a biker just like you, I Love my bike and most importantly I love my country. This is why me and a few biker friends have come up with an idea to organize the ultimate bike trip in Cyprus. We want to promote our biker lifestyle and at the same time send a strong message to everyone in our country. So, we have come up with an idea to get our point across to everybody while doing what we love most, we have decided to declare for the first time in our countrys resent history, a bikers event like no other, we are organizing the first, official, true bike trip around Cyprus, united bikers for a united Cyprus.
Our goal is to arrange an annual, 2 day event, at the end of each May, which will be attended by all bikers from both the south and the north side. The event will be in 2 parts, starting in Larnaca, on Saturday, driving on the coastline through Limassol, then Pafos, past Polis and ending up for an overnight stay in Pomos. In Pomos we will be greeted at Paradise Place with a large parking and a place to put our tents (hotel for those who prefer). The night will follow with dinner, drinks and a live rock band to celebrate the event. On Sunday morning the bikers cross over to the north side, through Limniti point and drive past Morfu, Kerineia, Kantara and Famagusta. We pass over to the south side from Deryneia check point and end up back in Larnaca. The whole round trip is about 500km long. We are hoping that during the event we will have sponsors and police assistance where possible.
I hope I have given you a good idea of what the whole concept is and what we will be doing, please note that everything I have proposed is subject to change according to our preferences, there will be regular updates of the event on the Paradise Place facebook group. Please take this information to your friends and group members and promote the idea, this event is only possible if you want it. I will need to know as soon as possible how many will be attending the event. You are more than welcome to contact me for future details and information regarding the event, routes, accommodation, t-shirts, bike parking, food, etc. Any suggestions you may have will be much appreciated. I have attached a link below so you can get a better picture of the route that we will be doing.
Let us make every May the month that will be known as the great bikers ride around Cyprus, an event we will be talking about with joy, pride and honour. United bikers for a united Cyprus
