Street Life is an urban culture project created by syn-ergio to bring life, colour, music, festivity and art into Limassol’s streets. The intention is to take a street (SARIPOLOU) in Limassol, beautify it and inspire others to enliven their own street.
Syn-ergio invites anyone who would like to be involved to contact them by 7 April. You can join in one of the events already happening at Street Life or suggest your own.
Events include:
Panel Art : painting and graffiti art on panels lining the construction works of the new university
PARTY Stage: – at one end of the street a stage is available for DJs, live musicians, break-dancers, salsa dancing and other live performances
Mosaics : permanent pavement mosaics will be installed & this is an opportunity for those wanting to join in and learn how to make mosaics
Building Beautification : a neglected building facade will be given a face-lift
Jewelry Making : thread your own beads & make jewelry for all
Skateboarding and BMX Demonstrations : showcasing some of the best Cypriot talent by Micromania & others
Kids Events : learn how to do magic; make and fly a kite; get your face painted; pick up some chalk and do your own street art!
Syn-ergio believes the use of artistic, creative, original, aesthetic, educational and evocative events and projects inspires people, develops their potential, is satisfying and creates social ties. Culture should be dynamic! For more info visit: www.syn-ergio.org
