Pilates Workshops @ The Body & Soul Space (Larnaca)

cc Pilates Workshops with Master Teacher Trainer Amit Younger
Amit will be joining us to present a whole weekend of Pilates workshops and master classes

Mat workshop: Advanced WorkoutSimple Moves

This practical advanced session will demonstrate how to use the basic and intermediate level exercises to create a dynamic and challenging routine and how to keep our clients interested and invigorated without resorting to the very advanced (often frustrating) Pilates moves.
In the workshop we will look at ways to encourage our clients to connect with the deeper muscle groups and then explore how we can use sequences of exercises in an intelligent way that enables them to maintain flow, energy and range without losing precision and quality of movement.
Duration 3 hours Cost – 45 euros

Mat workshop: Effective exercises for Back Care

Around 80% of adult individuals will be incapacitated by back pain at some point in their life. This is clearly an issue for concern! We are fortunate to live in an age where the tools for imaging and diagnosis are extremely sophisticated and where there are numerous optional medical treatments on offer; and yet the general consensus is that in many cases- exercise is the most beneficial form of care and treatment.
But what exercise??
This workshop will offer you ways to analyze exercises aimed at developing core and back strength to ensure they are done effectively. We will look at how and when to recruit the abdominals to make sure they stabilize and support the lower back and how and when to recruit upper back muscles in a way that will improve the mechanics of the exercise and create balance in posture and movement.
Duration 3 hours – Cost 45 euros

Mat workshop: Flow – Is That What Was Missing?

Flow is one of the tenets of Pilates, yet at times seems to be the one element missing from classes. Flow of movement, flow from one exercise to the next; that amazing feeling one gets when an hour goes flying by without realising.
This practical workshop aims to remind the participants of the benefits of creating and teaching a flowing class and the different elements we need to keep in mind in order to successfully maintain the flow of the class. The workshop includes a Mat class that demonstrates how to use all the elements described above in a successful way.
Duration 3 Hours Cost – 45 euros

Master Class Friday & Saturday evening 20 euros each or 30 for both

You can attend the whole weekend for just 120 euros
