Soccer : Youth Training Camp Comes to an End
The four day training camp that took place at the THOI Lakatamia stadium has come to an end.
The training camp in which 53 youngsters between the ages of 9 and 16 spent two 2 hour sessions a day under the guidance of 4 coaches from abroad, including Derek Langley who is Local Recruitment Officer for Manchester United, was organised by Antonakis Tsiaklis, an ex-Omonia Football Club player turned youth soccer coach.
With both the ‘Tigers winning their previous game with a thrashing 0-61 over the Ay Nik Stags and the ‘Crusaders recording their first victory of the season 19-39 away from home against Nicosia Barbarians, both rivals were prepared for the sunny Saturday afternoon challenge at Limassol, foreshadowing a heavy-duty battle between the two.
