From Trypes to Gelasti Anifora (Smiling Uphill), a straight line on a dirty map
Yiannis Aggelakas, the subversive, intellectual poet and composer and his company, Ntinos Sadikis baglamas, guitar, Titow Kargiotakis electric guitar, keyboards, Stathis Arabatzis guitar, Christos Harbilas percussions, electronics, are coming to Nicosia with the suitcases full of songs for a unique concert.
A journey through his career which started with the band Trypes, from the beginning of the 80s, until today.
Last stop the album Gelasti Anifora (Smiling Uphill), his latest CD Poetry collection Book which was released in May 2013 from the company www.alltogethernow.gr and has already become gold.
His crucial, hard and often redemptive speech in combination with a continuous jamming in new paths, unrolls for years now the human adventure but, through this realisation of wear a sparkle of light appears, through the outbreak the acceptance, through the torment of thought the joy of intoxication.
It represents what is most clean, honest and therapeutic these days, during these tough years for the Greek and Cypriot society.
