Mia Goes Movies (April 2009)

Welcome to Mia‘s new collumn about the movies hitting Cyprus in or around the month in question.

1. Fast & Furious 4 – Well it wasn’t long before we expected to see another fast & furious movie come along. Number four is just as good at the first three. It all begins when a crime brings fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Connor back to L.A. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmaneuver him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across hesjustnotthatintoyouinternational lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.

Eh guys, in cars, going fast, blah!

2. He’s just not that into you – Wildy popular, based on the book ‘he’s just not that into you’ is a story about a group of interconnected twenty- and thirty somethings and their relationships that vary from dating to marriage. In my opinion I thought the production lived up to its high standards and expectations. And also, I’m sure ALL GIRLS can relate one of these stories to a relationship they’ve had at least in one point of their life

This is my favourite bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m19MuX02mUw&feature=channel

3. Confessions Of A Shopaholic – Rebecca Bloomwood a New York city gal has an obsession with shopping. She dreams of working for her favorite fashion magazine. But can’t quite get her foot in the door-until ironically, she snags a job as an advice columnist for a financial magazine published by the same company. As her dreams are finally coming true, she goes to ever more hilarious and extreme efforts to keep her past from ruining her future.

2 thumbs up! Funnier than expected

4. The Hauntings Of Connecticut – Based on a true story, a family is forced to relocate for their son’s health, they begin experiencing supernatural behavior in their new home, which turns out to be a former mortuary.

Although this movie hasn’t come out yet its a must see. Jumpy and definitely worth a cinema visit, and to all the girls out there… the main actor is h.o.t
