As the world holds its breath and moves to contain the swine flu, one question is on everybody’s mind. Which game will earn the game of the week title for 27 April to 1 May 2009? In contrast to the vaccine for the swine flu we have found the answer.
No it’s not your generic, crappy movie tie-in release. Yes i am talking to you X-Men Origins: Wolverine, you fake Man of Steel. The most interesting thing about it relates to its big brother, the movie which was actually leaked a month before the official release. But that’s not what interesing about it. A US columnist in the FOX website was basically fired because he reviewed the movie using an illegally downloaded version and then claimed in the review that downloading it was “so much easier than going out in the rain”. It’s Rhythm Paradise on the DS which is being promoted in ads (and behind the scenes…) by Beyonce, who claims that “you don’t have to be musician to play this game”. Go figure….. Rhythm Paradise is a rhythm music based game and although the market is now full of these games, this one is actually one of the best. Rhythm Paradise (or Heaven if you are a Yank) is my game of the week!
