Charity Event Raises 3,000 Euros for Cancer Awareness

A big congratulations to all the organisers of the Fashion Show held to raise money for Cancer awareness. The event took place at the Foleys Private School on the 19th of January 2008 and so far they have raised 3,000 euros and still counting! The team organisers were from the Upper 6 (U6) art class and managed to pull it off very smoothly, doing a fantastic job in the process! Well done to the eight students! The designers had 4 weeks to make a complete number of 2 outfits inspired by any decade in the 20th century but also with relevance to the Spring collection ’08.The judges present at the show also included designers and models. This must have been pretty exciting for them because most of the outfits were made from scratch! In addition, there was also a prize to spend a day with Emilios Panayi in his studio, yearning, learning and experiencing the thrill of fashion and its value. So, once again, congratulations to you all. The generosity and spirit devoted to people in need is something we ought to think twice about and so, let it be an inspiration to some of us!
