The Capacity of Monte Caputo is 4000 people and the Spyros Kyprianou stadium is 5000 people with the difference that in Monte Caputo… we are closer to Nicosia, and Larnaca.

Wherever the show takes place it will be an amazing performance. He is bringing with him another very good DJ, Dj Remy. We are going to have dancers, fire shows, lazers the whole lot.

OnThisIsland.com will also be having a competition for some tickets to the event and will be announcing how and when shortly.

BIOGRAPHY

————–
Armin van Buuren pursued his career as a professional musician despite the promise of a career in law in his native country, where he completed his law degree in 2004. Armin started working as a DJ in a local night club called Nexus, finished high school in 1995 and went on to university to study law. Meanwhile, he moved his studio equipment from his bedroom to a ‘real’ studio. The first tracks he produced in his new studio were, among others, tracks like “Touch Me” and “Communication”. Armin van Buuren has been quoted as saying, “Don’t be a prisoner of your own style.” He has described his musical style as “liberating, euphoric, uplifting, melodic and energetic.”

In October 2002, van Buuren was voted Number 5 in the DJ Magazine 100 top DJs. The following year, he jumped up to the #3 spot, and held 3rd place for the next 3 years. His work left him at the #2 spot, just below Paul van Dyk in the 2006 polls, and, in 2007, Armin reached #1, heading the 2007 DJ Mag Top 100. He was voted #1 again in 2008.

He hosts a weekly radio show A State of Trance, which mostly consist of trance and progressive. The show completed its 400th episode in April 2009 and commemorated it with a 72 hour set culminating in a set of his own new music.

He has recently collaborated with his brother Eller, a guitarist, during live performances as well as for album releases.

  1. nice oneeeeeee !!

    BUT:

these kind of event need vibe not just profit.. needs people and energetic ppl rocking the place in order to make the artist perform !!

change the location.. monte caputo is too small i think !

    • inztinkt says:

i have to agree with you on the size, i think that they’ve underestimated the ammount of people that want to attend an Armin vBuuren concert in Cyprus…

I’m thinking Spyros Kyprianou would go perfectly for this kind of event.

      • Mia says:

        yes!
        WAY TO SMALL.
sorry, but I’ve been there before and cyprus definitely has thrice more fans of armin that can fit that place. how about the football stadium in limassol? thats pretty big hey?

        • Mia, i dont like the though of a stadium.. a closed arena would be different but a stadium is big of only Armin, dont take me wrong but i believe we need something smaller !!!

          • Mia says:

hmmm mr louis… i think your underestimating… but i guess monte caputo does have a better atmosphere… anyway we’ll see :)

  2. I think Pavilion would be their best bet, its managed to fit Van Dyk and many others in there and its always been successful

  3. fanatik says:

not pavillion either i went to tiesto at the basketball court in nicosia and was very impressed very good atmosphere well planned out i would go for that again or the new big 1 that they built in limassol!

  4. then ELEFTHERIA BASKET GROUND in nicosia is the best..

pavilion fited PVD and ARMIN last couple of years and the vibe was nice..

havent been to tiest since i was not in CY but if u say the atmosphere in there was nice then let it be !!!

as for transportation.. it would be easy ! some organization from ppl and busses will be full easily !!

  5. it’s gona be stinking hot in an enclosed venue in the middle of summer, a stadium or an open venue is the best

  6. true.. its gonna be bad in a closed venue !

  7. inztinkt says:

article updated with response from the people behind the event.

  8. thanks for the update inztinkt

  9. My vote is for stadium. Monte Caputo I associate with weddings… not Armin v B. ;-)

  10. Anna Loizou says:

i’m seeing armin play in my home town of melbourne, australia in two weeks.. very excited now that I know he will be playing in cyprus because I will be there from August 15 and will hopefully see him again! only problem is I will be staying in Nicosia and transport to Limassol is a problem… are there regular bus services from nicosia to limassol? either way, armin van buuren shows are amongst the best i’ve ever experienced and cyprus is in for a great show!

    • inztinkt says:

i know what u mean, i saw him at ministry of sound in london a few weeks back, what a night! in Cyprus it should be awesome!

as for the bus service, if i can find enough people from Nicosia who wouldnt wanna drive, I can arrange a bus from Nicosia to the event (if the organizers have not done so already)

welcome to the site btw :)

    • you can always get a ride.. you know we are friendly :) so lots of us are going from nic (if i ll be in cy i ll be going) so if u post on FB that u need a ride, someone will offer ;)

worst case scenario “travelexpress” services – minibus services that take you everywhere in the country !!

  11. trancemylife says:
