Amathunta Half Marathon & 10 km

cordially invite you to the 4^th Amathunta Half Marathon & 10 km Event, which will be held on

Sunday 15^th November 2009

Race starts at 9.00 am.

Currently, we have 100 participants and we expect many more runners to enter. The race attracts runners from around the world including England, Germany, Russia, Austria, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, Israel, Kenya, USA and Cyprus.

Both the start and finish areas are located at the historic ancient city Kingdom of Amathus and the almost totally flat course offers runners the chance to achieve a personal best (PB) time.  Awards will be given to the first three runners in each of the 32 age group categories but EVERY runner will receive a fantastic engraved medal and commemorative T-shirt. Enjoy the race: experience a wonderful atmosphere and your reward will the unforgettable experience of crossing the finishing line!

All runners will be offered complimentary KEO beer, ample quantities of KEO fruit juice, Saint Nicholas natural mineral water, energy drinks and seasonal fruit (oranges & bananas).

Spectators are also not forgotten, so on race day the entertainment activity programme will include a Dancing Group who will perform Cypriot folk dances and invite participants/spectators to join in.
