Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates and relates to other people. It is a spectrum of disorders that can affect social, emotional, language and communication, unique behaviours and sensory skills. With the right diagnosis, support and care, people with autism can have better quality lives and a sense of dignity.
The Cyprus Autism Association aims to secure the rights of autistic people and safeguard a better quality of life for them and their families. They have established specialised intervention centres in Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia that cater to rehabilitation, education, health, employment and protection for autistic children and adults.
